neer Women have dedicated the
entire month of January to the
campaign. Individual chapter
meetings will feature ,speakers
from Histadrut and new Israeli
films.
One such movie, only recently
arrived here, is "South Win-
dow," a film made by Histadrut,
showing the work of the organ-
ization in helping bolster the
Negev during Israel's current
emergency.
The campaign also was
marked this week by- a large
increase in new contributors,
many of them from the trade
union group.

Two_ Furnaces in Operation in
TEL AVIV (JTA)—The first
two blast furnaces in Israel's
"Steel City" which is -arising
near Acre, were lit this week.
The furnaces have an ingot
capacity of 40 tons and can
reach heat of 1,650, Centigrade.
Steel will be processed from
local scrap and pig-iron im-
ported from Germany. It is
