tions in the center of the old
city here have unearthed the
remains of an historic syna-
gogue and Mikvah (Jewish ritu-
al bath), believed to be of
twelfth century origin. Both
buildings were once located in
the center of the medievaLJew-

Oil production in the Heletz-

barrels per day, it was learned
in the latest report from Israel

duction of two months ago.

duction of crude oil would be at
the rate of 1,600 barrels per
