Madison has been appointed chairman of the "Star Spangled Revue" com- mittee for the Jewish War Veterans, according to Larry Gubow, Michigan department commander. The revue, featur- ing New York stage and TV artists, will occur on Feb. 17 at the Ford Auditorium. Madison, former state and national commander of the JWV, stated that a program book in conjunction with the Revue is being prepared. KOERNER In a ceremony Dec. 9 at Tem- ple Beth El, Frances Hays Levin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hoke Levin, of Balmoral Dr., was united in marriage to Bruce Stanley Koerner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman N. Koerner, of Milwaukee, Wis. Dr. Richard C. Hertz officiated. The bride wore a gown of white silk peau, de soie with a square neckline and panel ex- tending over the princess line bodice to the hem of the floor- length skirt. The gown was fashioned with appliques in motifs of hand- corded Alencon lace and long sleeves and extended into a chapel train. Her veil of white silk illusion fell in two tiers from a fitted cap of matching lace and she carried a bouquet of orchids and stephanotis. The bride's sister, Barbara Maxine Levin, was her maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Linda Axelrod, Elaine Koerner, the bridegroom's sister, Mar- garet E. Levin, another sister of the bride, Jane Sampliner and Josephine Yanow, her cousin. Joel Kimmel was the bride- groom's best man, while ushers included Marshall Astrin, Pfc. Harry Kaiser, Willard Pokrass, Gerald Schumacher, all from Milwatikee.
