U of M Coeds Protest
Serving of Pork in Dorm
By. JUDY ANN JACOBS
ANN ARBOR—According to
an article in The Michigan
Daily, University of Michigan
campus newspaper, approxi-
mately 20 women walked out
of a 'sit down' dinner at Klein-
stueck House, Alice Lloyd Hall.
The walk-out was in protest
to the serving of pork without
providing substitutions on the
menu.
Pointed out in the article
was the fact that the coeds, who
adhere to Jewish dietary laws,
acted because previous requests
had been ignored.
The matter will be discussed
by- all dormitory dieticians at
their next regular meeting, the
newspaper said.
