The 55th annual Interdenomi-
national Community Thanksgiv-
ing Service will be held at 7:45
p.m., Wednesday, at Bushnell
Congregational Church, 15050
Southfield, at Grand River.
Guest preacher will be Rabbi
Milton Rosenbaum, of Temple
Ernanu-El, Oak Park.

The following churches and
synagogues will participate, in
addition to the host congrega-
tion:

Detroit Round Table of Catho-
lics, Jews and Protestants, First
Congregational Church, May-
flower Congregational Church,
North Congregational Church,_
Temple Beth El, Temple Ernanu-_
El, Temple Israel, Central Uni-
tarian - Universalist C h u r c h,

ist Church and St. John's Evan-
gelical and Reformed Church.

The Interdenominational Com-
munity Thanksgiviiig Service,
founded in 1902, is the oldest
, such service in the city and one
of the oldest in the country.

Appeal to represent the Jews

ing Council urges participa-
tion in the United Jewish Ap-
peal Survival Fund.

`Living With Dignity'

Day service of Cong. Shaarey
Zedek will be held from 11 a.m.
to 12 noon, Thursday. Rabbi
Morris Adler will preach the
sermon on "Living with Dig-
nity." -

Bnai Moshe Service
Scheduled on Thursday

Cong. Bnai Moshe will hold its
annual Thanksgiving Day serv-
ice at 11 a.m., Thursday, in its
main auditorium, Dexter and
Lawrence. •
_ Rabbi Moses Lehrman will
deliver the sermon, and Cantor
David Katzman will chant the
liturgical portion. The public is
invited.

ray Altman, dinner committee
chairman.

At the Detroit Chapter's last
meeting, Yaacov Ben-Sira, for-

p.m., Tuesday, in the Seminary's
library reading room.
The honorary degree, doctor
of letters, will be presented to
Pulitzer Prize winner, Prof.
Allan Nevins of Columbia Uni-
versity; Louis M. Rabinowitz, a
noted industrialist; and George
N. Shuster, president of Hunter
College.
