Halevy-Farband Choir
Plans Special Concert
As Tribute to Gayman

A special concert of the Hal-
evy-Farband Choral Society will
be held at 8:30 p.m., Wednes-
day, in the Schaver auditorium
of the Labor Zionist Institute,
19161 Schaefer.
The concert will be dedicated
to the memory of the late Wil-
liam Gayman, until his death
this year a leading figure in the
Halevy Choir and the Farband.
Under the direction of Dan
Frohman, the choral society will
present the works of the follow-
ing composers: Mascagni, Puc-
cini, Wagner, Binder, Yassinow-
sky, Lavri, DeCurtis and Mana-
ucca.
Soloists include Rena Tobes
and Muriel Greenspan, mezzo
soprano; Hyman Horowitz, ten-
or; Rose Rozanoff and Irene
Pianin, sopranos; Al Joffe, bari-
tone.
The concert is the only spe-
cial performance given locally
by the Halevy-Farband Choral
Society for many years. Tickets
