"Buy your paper from a Flur-
gel!" "No, buy it from a Galion-
ger!" These were familiar
sounds to Mumfordites, as mem-
bers of the Student Council
(Galiongers), and Mumf or d
High School Paper (Flurgels),
waged an all-out campaign to
see who could sell the most
editions of the Goodfellow Issue
of - the paper one day this week.
The losers will treat the win-
ners to a party.

Mumford competes with
Redford on the same_ basis.
The prize is a blue jug which
the winning school will keep
in its possession for the year.

Last Friday, the Intra-Metro-
politan Students' Sportsman-
ship Council, known to Mum-
fordites as IHSSC, presented
the annual Touchdown Tromp,
a dance honoring our football
team.
This week has brought in-
coming freshmen to Mumford
to take the necessary examina-
tions before entry in January.
The "Freshies" are being given
a tour of their future school,
by members of the Student
Council.
All girls interested in learn-
ing to play basketball have
been participating in an intra-
mural program sponsored by the
Girls' Athletic Association. The
winning team of the tournament
will take a banner to its study
hall, for the following year.
Mumford's 'Variety Show is

on its way. Earl Mathews, di-

of the show, held try-outs
last week.
The time has finally arrived!
After several weeks of rehears-
ing, members of the cast of
"My Sister Eileen," the school
play, brought their production
to the audience last night in
the school auditorium. Joni Fri-
met played "Eileen" and Brenda
Abramson "Ruth." Tonight is
the last performance with Emily
Friedman in the role of "Eileen"
and Hilda Rosenberg as "Ruth."
