center.
Kfar Silver, newest of the
ZOA projects in Israel, provides
four years of agricultural train-
ing and secondary education to
immigrant children from Mor-
occo, North Africa and other
foreign. lands. Students are not
only thoroughly grounded in
producing the traditional prod-

"newer" crops such as cotton

indicate that already some Of the

grown in Kfar Silver soil. When
construction •is completed, the
school will accommodate 320

Stage Centre should not have
selected "The World of Sholem
Aleichem" as its first produc-
tion. The group did injustice to
itself as well as to the great
storyteller.
On the whole, the cast did
not emotionally identify with
Sholem Aleichem's characters.
It did not sense the love and
empathy with which the writer
fashioned his people. Beards and
Yiddish intonations Were not
enough to carry the portrayals.
