Rabbis Praise DeMille for New Film on Moses

Temple Beth El that its College
of Jewish Studies, an evening
school for adults, will be held
this year at the temple on Mon-
day evenings, beginning Oct. 15.
The instructors will be Dr.
Isaac Rabinowitz, professor of

Religious leaders of the Jew-
ish, Catholic and Protestant
faiths were unanimous in giving
high praise to -Cecil B. De-
Mille's production of "The Ten
Commandments."
Their views were released
following a special showing of

Jewish studies at Wayne State
University; Rabbi Morris Sha-
piro, of Temple Beth Israel,
Jackson; and Rabbi Sherwin
Wine, of Temple Beth El.
Dr. RabinoWitz will present a
course on "Adventure in Jewish
Ideas" from 8 to 9 p.m. Rabbi

Shapiro will teach a course on
"Great Men Who Shaped - Jew-
ish Destiny" from 9 to 10 p.m.,
and Rabbi Wine will present a
course on "Men Who Spoke for
God—Great Prophets of the
Bible from 9 to 10 p.m.
The college is open, free of
charge, to the public.
