Sheraton-Cadillac for their
weddings and receptions. And
for good reason! First, the
staff of this famous hotel spe-
cializes in catering to wed-
dings — lifts so many nagging
details from the shoulders of
the bride and her family.
And whether you select the
magnificent Grand Ballroom
for a party of 750, or one of
our exquisite Parlors for an
intimate family group of as
small as twenty, you may rest
assured that the accommoda-
tions and service will be the
finest in Detroit.
Our prices are reasonable,
and you'll always be proud to
remember that your wedding
was at the Sheraton-Cadillac.

Mumford High
"Don't forget, MARS!" This
statement has had most of
Mumford High buzzing, and ve-
hemently asking each other its
significance. Is somebody run-
ning for President? NO! The
members of Goode AZA have
kept their secret well-guarded,
but now the cat is out of the
bag . . . they're giving a record
hop. This unusual theme will
prevail on the evening of Oct.
20, at Bnai Moshe. Mickey.
Shorr, a teen favortie, will be
the guest star. Tickets are avail-
able from any Goode member.
The top crust of the school,
commonly known as seniors,
appointed the following on their
steering committee: Judy Hack,
Joel Schere, Elaine Kasoff,
Douglas Mossman, Lynn Ross,
Beverly Dickens, Bob Tanner,
Sherwin Conway, Art Baker,
Barbara Goldsmith, and Jac
Purdon. The first activity will
be their election of officers, to
be held this week.
All students are urged to
treat themselves to the 1957
Capri. A bigger and better year-
book will be published this
year, with no increase in cost.
Last weekend, Temple Israel
youth played host to the Mich-
igan State Temple Youth board,
who held their initial meeting
of the year. Attending were
youth from the entire state
gathering to represent their in-
dividual groups.
"Hurl that spheroid down the
field" was precisely what the
Mumford Mustangs did last Fri-
day. They emerged victorious
from a trying contest with Red-
ford High by a score of 12 to 6.
Scoring the touchdowns were
Sheldon Lax and Dave Shevitz.

Next week we meet a school
which is new to the league,
Taylor Center, of suburban De-
troit.
