Prior to her visit home, Miss Bakst had been in Italy for five years, part of that time on a Fulbright Award. Morris Malec returned to his home in Israel last week after spending several years in Detroit as a student. Mr. Malec sailed aboard the SS United States for England. Dr. Alwyn V. Freeman, consultant to the Foreign Relations Committee of the United States Senate, is now traveling in Africa with Senator Green, of Rhode Island. Their six-week trip in- cludes Tripoli, Tunis, Ethiopia, Johannesburg; the Belgian Congo, and Casablanca. - Former Detroiters Mr. and Mrs. Julius Bronstein, now of Miami, recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.
