Mr. and Mrs. Olshansky
Mr. and Mrs. David Olshan-
sky, of 2682 Cortland, had a
quiet 50th wedding anniversary
celebration nine years ago.
They kept on postponing the
golden years' event until earlier
this month—when they • chose
the 10th anniversary of the Ol-
shansky Family Club, which
they organized — to celebrate
their 59th wedding date.
On hand to join in the fes-
tivities were their two sons, Abe
and Leonard, five daughters,
Mesdames Louis Bregman, Phil-
ip Trubow, Meyer Levin, Al Te-
nenhouse and Al Cohen; 16
grandchildren and 15 great
grandchildren.
Born in Lachver, Minsk, the
couple have lived in Detroit for
40 years. They have been mem-
bers of Cong. Shaarey Zion for
16 years, and Mr. Olshansky is
presently second vice-president
of the synagogue.
A "Cabaret Night" will again
open the Beth Aaron Men's Club
season of programs, .8 p.m., Sept.
30, announces J. Harmon Moss,
president. The affair, to be held
in the Social Hall of the Beth
Aaron Synagogue, 18000 Wy-
oming, will begin with door
prizes and dinner.
Sammy Shore, well - known
comedian now appearing in Las
Vegas, will be master-of-cere-
monies. Singers Harry Harris,
former partner of Jimmy Du-
rante, and Betty Adams, both
appearing at Cliff Bell's in De-
troit, will be included in the
program. Marty Schwartz and
his orchestra will provide music
for dancing.
Tickets cost $2.50 per person
and may be obtained by calling

Temple Israel Couples

cocktail party at 8•:30 p.m., Sat-
urday, in the temple youth hall.
The program is sponsored by the
Young Marrieds Group as its
initial event of the season.
Dancing to a five-piece band,
entertainment and booths which
will serve foods from Hawaii,
Italy, Israel, Russia and the
United States have been planned
by the evening's chairmen,. Mr.
and Mrs. Paul Kaye.
