in Double-Ring Rites

Representing the Detroit Mr. and Mrs. Group of the City of
Hope at its regional conference earlier this month in St. Louis,
Mo., were Ralph Snyder, president,- and Mrs. Snyder, Mrs. Moe
Bershad, Mrs. Irving Weintraub and Mrs. Harry Mayers.
- Mrs. Blanche Ufberg Dobkin, of Washington, DZ.,, is here
for an extended visit with her mother, Mrs. Augusta Ufberg, of
17310 Kentucky, while ' her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. Herman Hirschhorn, of the same address, vacation in Miami,
Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Weiss, of Stansbury Ave., and Mr. and
Mrs. Irving Simms, of Snowden Ave., have just returned from
a trip to Chicago, Ill. and Milwaukee, Wis., where they were
delegates to the national convention of the Jewish War Veterans.
Mr. Weiss is junior vice-commander of the Lt. Roy F. Green
Post and Mr. Simms is judge advocate of the Department of
Michigan JWV. Both wives are past presidents of JWV auxiliary
units in Detroit.
Mrs. Belle Martell, an agent for the Elkin Travel Bureau,
with return early in September from an extensive tour of Alaska,
the Canadian Rockies and other points of interest: in the West,
where she is checking on accommodations and facilities to advise
_ tourists planning to visit in these areas.
Dr. and Mrs. Irving A. Grenville and children, Cheryl and
Mark, -formerly of Toronto, Ont., have taken up residence here at
17334 Wisconsin. The Grenvilles have just returned from their
summer •home on Lake Simcoe, Big Cedar Point, Ont.
