twins' were born at Sinai Hos-
pital.
The sextet, all premature in-
fants, are the offsprings of Mr.
and Mrs. Seymour Lower,

Hillberg, Detroit; and Mr. and
Mrs. 'Nathaniel Jackson, 4128
17th Street, Ecorse.
The Lowen - twins, bogs, (their
• first children) tallied 5 pounds,
41/2 ounces, and 3 pounds, 14
ounces, respectively. The Mur-
phy twins, also boys, weighed in
at 5:41/2 and 3:13, while the
Jackson pair, a girl and a boy,
totalled 4:08 and 4:14, respec-
tively.

Social Security Act
Offers New Benefits

Beginning this November, re-
tired women workers, wives of
men receiving old-age insur-
ance and widows of insured
workers will get monthly ben-
efits at the age of 62, following
a new social security amend-
ment signed into law early thin
month by President Eisen-
hower.
Harry Baltuck, manager of
the Detroit Northwest Social
Security District office, ex-
plained that a number of other
changes have made social se-
curity available in numerous
other categories. -
These include dep endent
mothers, disabled workers over
50 and children over 18 who
were disabled before that age.
Social security now covers
self-employed lawyers, - dentists,
chiropractors, veterinarians,
naturopaths, osteopaths and op-
tometrists, leaving doctors of
medicine as the only group not
covered under the Social Secur-
ity Act.
