Central Graduate Wins Kimelman MUsi . AWard At class day exercises of Cen- tral High School last month, Robert Shulman, a June, 1956 graduate, was honored as the recipient of the Susan Kesler Kimelman Memorial Award. Shulman, a pianist, won a U.S.- Government Bond and a citation as the student, who, through his music, "best served his school." The ceremony will be per- formed by an augmented choir, under the direction of Dan Frohman, who will assist Rabbi Israel I. Halpern and Cantor Shabtai Ackerman in conduct- ing the service. - MRS. Y., in a ceremony on July 1 at the Hotel Statler. Dr. Leon Fram and Rabbi M. Robert Syme officiated. The bride wore an original gown of white Italian silk, peau de soie, with a princess line bodice and a sweetheart neck- line appliqued in heirloom duchess lace. A panel of the lace in tiny seed pearls covered a bouffant skirt with a double shirred ruffle of peau de soie that extended into a cathedral train. Her veil was a mantilla of white silk illusion with appli- ques of heirloom duchess lace. She carried a flower arrange- ment of stephanotis and white spray orchids with a white or- chid corsage. The bride's aunt, Mrs. Albert Marx, served as matron of honor and Marlene Danto, the bride's sister, was maid of honor. Joan Danto, also the bride's sister, Phyllis Ezrach and Valerie• Spector were bridesmaids. Serving the groom were Mil- ton Epstein, his uncle from Sharon, Pa., best man, ' and ushers Donald Ross, Mitchell Syrkin, Harold Epstein and Eugene Freedman, all from the state of New York. After a wedding trip to the Caribbean Islands, the couple will reside in New Haven, Conn., where the groom will continue his studies in the Yale Law School. MILTON KATZ became the bride of Dr. Miltbn Katz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Katz, of Farrell, Pa., in a ceremony June 16, at Young Israel of Detroit. Rabbi Samuel H. Prero officiated. The bride was given in mar- riage by Mr. and Mrs. Sydney Gross, and her sister, Mrs. Jo- seph Finkelstein, attended as matron of honor. Following a reception at the synagogue, the couple left for a two-week wedding trip through the West. They will take up res- idence in Los Angeles, Calif., where Dr. Katz will intern at Harbor General Hospital. Dr. Katz holds BS and MS degrees from Pennsylvania State College and just received his medical degree this month from Western Reserve Univer- sity Medical School, in Cleve- land.
