'Former , Judge Joseph Sanders died June 14 in Sinai Hospital. He was 69. His home was at 16624 Mendota. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Kaufman Chapel. Judge Sanders was appointed to the -Common Pleas Court here by the late Governor Wil- liam Comstock, under whom he also served as an advisor on labor. He served as Common Pleas Judge from 1933 to 1935. Born in Austria, Judge San- ders was brought to the United States by his parents at the age of three. He was a Detroit resident for 42 years. For Many years he was a leader in the Democratic party in Michigan, and even in the days when a Democrat was a rarity in this state, he stood by his party.
