NEW YORK, (JTA)—An at- tractive Sabra and an Irish phy- sician shared $25,000 in prize money as they cleared the final hurdle in the Columbia Broad- casting System's "Name That Tune" television quiz show. The Israeli, Mrs. Rachel Limon, is the wife of Commodore Mor- decai Limon of the Israel Navy. Here in Detroit recently to attend the Third National Cancer Conference were Mrs. ADA KOICHI, a leader in women's activities in Israel, and Dr. PAUL HIRSCH, vice- president of the Israel Cancer Society. They are shown here with Mrs. DAVID HUGER (right), local clubwoman and volunteer worker with the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Kliger headed a group of foreign visitors, including the two Israelis, on a tour of the Detroit Chapter's headquarters. In this photo, Dr. Hirsch is shown at a reception given by a group of Detroit leaders, in the home of Dr. and Mrs. Morris Marks, 40/6 Chippewa .Pictured are, left to right, Dr. S. D. Prices Found Stable in 1955 Israel Economy JERUSALEM (JTA)—Prices were generally stable in Israel in 1955, David Horowitz, gov- ernor of the Israel State Bank, reported in a review of the country's economy last year. Prices levelled off to a far greater extent during 1955 than in 1954, Horowitz said. National production rose by 10 per cent during the year, while the number of employed persons increased by 5.5 per cent. Na- tional income was • up by 14 per cent and investments in- creased by 22.5 per cent. Only slight progress was made, however, in solving basic economic problems of the coun- try and there is a danger in the fact that the trade balance has not improved, Horowitz pointed out. He noted that the principal sources of capital im- ports—German reparations and American grants-in-aid — were being reduced and would gradually disappear. Mrs. Limon, who came to the United States with her _husband when he was detailed here to further his studies, has been associated with the Israel bond drive as a field worker. The Limons live in Haifa, where Commodore Limon is stationed. They will return to Israel within a week or two following the completion of his studies here. Despite the windfall in money, Mrs. Limon insisted that her greatest thrill consisted of the "hundreds of letters" she had received from Jews and non- Jews alike. The general theme of the letters was that the part- nership between her and the physician had done much to help international understand- ing and sympathy for Israel. One which she was especially fond, she added, was a Yiddish letter, addressed to her as the "teierste tochter fun dem Yid- dish folk" (The dearest daugh- ter of the Jewish people).
