Mumford to Present
Annual Spring Concert
The Annual Spring Concert
at Mumfprd High School will
be held at 8 p.m., Thursday in
the school auditorium, Wyoming
at Thatcher, and will feature
soloists Martin Schwartz, trum-
pet, Stuart Bloom, violin, and
Linda Sternberg, pianist and
winner of the Interlochen con-'
eerto auditions.
The orchestra, under the di-
rection of "Jerome Stasson, will
feature Rossini's "Overture to
La Gaza Ladra," and will ac-
company the modern dance
group in a presentation of por-
tions of the "Carmen Suite" by
Bizet.
Director - Grace Engel will
present the choruses in classical
and specialty pieces that will
include "I'll Never W a 1 k
Alone" and "Love Is a Many
Splendored Thing."
The concert"band and newly
formed dance band, in full
dress, will present a program
under the direction of Roger
Haskins. The public is invited
to attend.
Ben Gelmans to Be Honored
At Berdichever Meeting
Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gelman
will be honored for their de-
voted work in past years at a
meeting of the Berdichever
Progressive Aid Society to be
held Thursday. Mr. Gelman is
one of the group's original or-
ganizers. Plans for the 30th
Anniversary Jubilee will also
be discussed at the meeting.
