Wayne University graduate, and
is now attending Wayne's medi-

Keshenever Aid -Society
Plans 28th Annual Ban

Keshenever Aid Society will
hold its 28th annual banquet
this Sunday evening, at Horo-
witz Catering. All proceeds will
be sent to institutions in Israel
to which the Society regularly
contributes.
A highlight of the celebration
will be a ceremony honoring
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Goldberg,
long-time active members, for
their many services to the or-
ganization, states Irving Cantor,
president.

The annual concert of the
Halevy - Farband a n d Work-
men's Circle choruses will take
place on May 27,• in the large
auditorium of the Detroit In-
stitute of Arts.
The combined chorus, consid-
ered by many as the finest Jew-
ish choral body in America, will
present a varied program of
Yiddish and Israeli songs, Eng-
lish ballads, Negro spirituals,
excerpts from operettas, operas
and oratorios.
Rebecca Frohman and Bella
Goldberg, pianists, and a num-
ber of Detroit Symphony musi-
cians will accompany the choral
concert.
Dan Frohman, baritone, com-
poser and conductor of the
choruses, who has orchestrated
the entire program, will conduct
the concert.
Composers repres e n t e d on
this program will be Zaira, Bik,
Helfman, Gershwin, E 11 i o t,
Dragmirov, Clarke, G e 1 b a r t,
Low, Polonsky, Gretchaninoff,
Gorochov, Bugatch, Heifetz, La-
