Dentists' Wives Plan
Northville Hospital
.Donor Luncheon May 2 To Hold Open House

Open Police Stations
For Vote Registration

- Detroit Women of Alpha
Omega will hold its. annual
donor luncheon at 12:30 p.m.
Wednesday, in the Sheraton
Cadillac Hotel. The women are
the wives of members of the
Alpha Omega dental fraternity.
Mrs. Gerald •Michael is chair-
man, and Mesdames David Das-
kal and Jack Zonder are co-
chairman of the event which
will highlight a -fashion show
by a leading national store.
Entertainment and prizes will
be - featured, with the _grand
prize being a white fox shrug
obtained through the courtesy
of Furs by Offen.
Tickets may be obtained by
calling TE. 4-7831. Proceeds will
provide dental aid to needy peo-
ple in Detroit and will also go
to trre Israel Dental School.

Auxiliary voting registration
stations will be opened by the
Detroit City Election CommiS-
sion from 12 noon to 8 p.m.,
each Monday,. from May 7 to
June 4, in all Police Precincts,
excepting Police Headquarters.
. Electors who have registered,
voted or transferred since Jan.
'1, 1954 are not required to re-
register. Persons registering be-
fore that date who have not
since voted, must apply for re-
registration to vote in this
year's Presidential election.
Electors who are registered,
but who have changed address-
es, both in the city limits of
Detroit, may transfer by listing
both addresses and placing their
signature on a -post card, or pn
the reverse side of their- regis-
tration certificate.

Turover Square Dance

Turover Social Club is plan-
ning a square dance at 8:30
p.m., Sunday, in its temple,
12129 Dexter. A professional
caller will be present, and re-
freshments will be served.
Prospective members are in-
vited.

In observance of National
Mental Health Week from April
29 to May 5, Northville State
Hospital, at 41001 W. Seven Mile
Rd., will hold its fourth annual
open house program from 9:30
a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sunday.
- Staff members and patients
wil act as guides on specially
arranged tours through wards,
electric shock areas, occupa-
tional therapy shops and classes.
At present there are 20 modern
buildings on 520 acres of land-
scaped latitl with several build-
ings to be added.

Ice Happy Revue
At Club Manhattan

After a successful tour of
Europe and the United States,
the Ice Happy Revue has begun
a four-week engagement at
Club Manhattan, Detroit's new-
est and largest supper club, lo-
cated at 14865 Wyoming.
Staged and directed by Bissell
and Farley, the Revue stars
Carol Williams, who, at the re-
quest of television viewers ap-
peared on the "You Asked for
It" program..
Also featured in the ice re-
vue are Jack Wallace, Bissell
and Farley, Mary Russell, the
Four Bladettes and a dance
chorus on ice.
Club Manhattan is open for
luncheons, dinners and suppers,
and also has accomodations for
up to 600 guests at social func-
tions and bowling banquets.

The Music Study Club will
present Shirley Seguin, winner
of the organization's 1955
Gwladys Luloff award, in a -pi-
ano recital in the lecture hall of
the Institute of Arts at 8:30 p.m.,
May 5.
Miss Seguin, a piano student
of the late Bendetson Netzorg
and for the past two years of
Walter Schrott, is a sophomore
at Marygrove College. She be-
gan playing the piano when she
was only four-years-old.

Natan Schnifer of Brazil
Seeks Brother Sholom Here

Th Jewish News has received
a request from Natan Schnifer,
Rua Joao Kopke No. 100, Sao
Paulo, Brazil, to assist him in
locating his brother who left
Poland for this country in 1913.
His brother, Sholom Schnifer
was born in Stashev,
Their father's name was Shel-
omo, and he was-known as Fei-
gele Shial's son. Sholom left a
wife, Rosa, in Stashev.
