Dr. and Mrs. IVLelvin•Platt and daughters, Bonnie and Claudia,
have moved from their home in Oak Park, Mich -., and are now
residing at 10290 E. Bay -Harbor Dr., Miami Beach, Fla.
Miss Helen Mendelson, a junior in the school of music at
the University of Michigan, will be pianist when Miss Phyllis
Legband gives her graduating recital on the cello at 4:15 p.m.,
Sunday, at auditorium A, Angell Hall, Ann Arbor. Included on
the program will be sonatas by Vivaldi and Brahms and a Haydn
concerto. The public is invited.
. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Elbinger, formerly of Sorrento Ave.,
are now residing M their home at 825 Whitmore.
Betty Kowalsky and Jerome Stasson will present piano and
violin students from their classes in a recital at 8:30 p.m., Mon-
day, at Baldwin Hall, Wodward at Ferry. Compositions by Bach,
Beethoven, Mozart, Grieg, Debussey, DeBeriot and WeiniaWski
will be featured. The public is invited.
Mr. David I. Berris, president of Young Israel of Detroit,
and Mrs. Berris were honored at a farewell party given by the
organization last week prior to the Berrises' departure for a
visit in ISrael.' The party was attended by over 150 friends. Ac-
companying the Berrises to Israel will be Mrs. Berri's' father,
Mr. Harry Davidson. -
Mrs. Sarah Ross, formerly of Braile Ave., is now residing
in her new home at 17539 Northlawn.
