He made the prediction that
Dulles would be rated by future
historians as "one of the most

He said that "errors, inertia
and hesitation" in the State
Department were costing the
U.S. valuable friends abroad;
not only in the Middle East
but in Greece, Yugoslavia and
India. Much of the blame he
placed squarely with Dulles,
saying the Secretary has an
unhappy faculty of "saying

In a question period which
followed his talk, Pearsor said
he thought that the U.S. should
definitely send defensive arms
to Israel since the Arabs already
have been armed by the Rus-

The refugee problem, Pearson
said, is one of the chief stumbl-

funds were raised in this coun-

the refugees, they could be set-

states.
Pearson was introduced by
Dr. Fram. Earl Hordes, chair-
man of the evening, greeted the
audience for the Young Mar-
rieds Group and introduced the
evening's program.
