Gifted Children's Group
States Special Needs
At a recent meeting of the
National Association for Gifted
Children, Mrs. Anne Isaacs,
president, stated that we start
giving our gifted children spec-
ial education too late in life.
She said, "Special education
should start at the elementary
level, not in high school."
Mrs. Isaacs pointed to the
need for a special fund to study
the problems of gifted children
and asked the 300 members in
the Detroit area to affiliate with
the national group.

In a double-ring ceremony
April 4, Sharon Lynn Niskar,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max
P. Niskar, of 4038 Glendale, be-
came the bride of Joel J. Faust,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Faust,
of 18493 Santa Barbara.
Rabbi Jacob E. Segal and
Cantor Hyman J. Adler per-
formed the ceremony in the
Sheraton-Cadillac Hotel.
The bride chose a gown of
blush pink peau .de soie with a
fitted bodice accenting the por-
trait neckline. The short sleeves
were appliqued with Alencon
lace and embroidered with tiny
seed pearls. The bouffant skirt,
with motifs of the matching lace
and pearls, extended into a
chapel train.
Her triple-tiered veil of silk
illusion was secured by a tiny
shell cap of matching peau de
soie and lace embroidered -with
pearls. She carried a crescent
bouquet of stephanotis and
white orchids.
Mrs. Sanford Shekter was
matron of honor, and brides-
maids were Helen Seeman and
Rhoda Ehrlich. Sanford Shekter
was the best man, while ushers
included Marvin Niskar, the
bride's brother, Robert Berahya,
Ralph Foon, David Jacobs and
Robert Davis.
Following t h e candlelight
ceremony, guests adjourned for
a dinner and reception, follow-
ing which the couple left for a
two-week honeymoon in Miami
Beach, Fla. Out-of-town guests
were from Toronto, Ont., and
Philadelphia, Pa.

To Aid Needy In Israel
The primary aim of the De-
troit Ezras . Noshim is - aiding
the needy in Israel and one of
their recent projects was send-
ing Passover food packages to
Israel.
The group, organized several
years ago by the late Rabbi
Samuel Fine, is preparing for
its yearly luncheon and games
party. .
