Members of Julius Rosenwald
Post and Auxiliary of the Amer-
ican Legion recently sponsored
pre-Passover services and a
party for the 54 Jewish inmates
at Lapeer.
Mrs. Helen Wolf, president of
the Auxiliary, was in charge of
the program. Assisting her were
Mesdames Clara Cohen, Clara
Shapiro, Mollie Mitchell, Edna
Lewis and Sadie Morrison.
The Post is currently plan-
ning a pre-Memorial Day serv-
ice at Cong. Bnai Moshe for May
28. Gov. Williams has been in-
vited to attend. The Post is

Rabbi Sydney K. Mossman,
spiritual leader of the congre-
gation, will continue his dis-
cussion of the "Ethics of the
Fathers." A social hour will fol-

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Allender,
of Waverly Ave., recently cele-
brated their 50th wedding an-
niversary with a dinner party
at Moss Catering.
The couple, each of whom was
b:orp. in Russia, was married
there, in 1906, and came here
several years later. They have
five children, Mrs. Carl Krupp,
Mrs. Dorothy Haas, Mrs. Nor-
man Becker, of Santiago, Chile,
Joseph L. Allender and Mrs.
Max Tolin. There also are nine
grandchildren and two great
grandchildren, all of whom were
on hand to celebrate' with the
Allenders.

Judea Social Club is planning
its annual box supper on April
21, at 3225 Fenkell. A movie on
Israel will be shown by a repre-
sentative of Histadrut. Friends
are invited.
The organization announces
the recent donation of a check
for $500 to the Israel Emer-
gency Fund for the purchase of
an oxygen machine. The funds

At a family ceremony per-
formed recently in the home of

her parents, on Burlington Rd.,
Ruth Mahler exchanged nuptial
vows with Ronald Herbert Goll-
man.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Irving C. Mahler.
Mr. Gollman's parents are Dr.
and Mrs. Maurice D. Gollman.
The ceremony was performed
by Rabbi Milton Arm.
For her wedding, the bride
chose a gown of white Italian
silk peau de soie, fashioned with
pointe de vee neckline and short
sleeves highlighted with hand-
corded Alencon lace appliques
and an elongated bodice. In-
verted pleats with a front panel
of the lace and lace appliques
formed the chapel train.
Her double - tiered veil of
fingertip length was held in
place by a fitted cap of silk peau
de soie with lace appliques, and
she carried a prayer book cover-
ed with white camellias and hy-
acinth blossoms.
Sue Gollrnan was maid of
honor, and Edward Mahler, the
bride's brother, was best man.
Seating the guests were Burton
Mahler and Robert Levinson.
The newlyweds are honey-
moonin.g in Florida. On their re-
turn they will reside on Mander-
son Rd.

Center Adds Programs
During School Vacation

The spring vacation period
will bring about a stepped-up
progfam of activities at the
Jewish Community C e n t e r's
Davison .branch, Center officials
announced this week.
Teen and Tweens are being
offered active game roam ac-
tivities and roller skating this
afternoon and from Wednes-
day to next Friday, April 4 to -
6.
The gymnasium will be open
to boys between 1 and 4 p.m.,
today and April:4 to 6. Use of
these facilities, however, will
be limited to one visit daily.
A series of five modern
dance lessons for Center Jun-
iors will begin April 10, at the
Davison branch. Lessons for
8-10 year-olds will be held
from '4 to 5 p.m., and 5-7 year-
olds will meet from 5 to 5:45
p.m. Wednesday classes from
4 to 5 will be held for 10-12
year-olds.
