ALVIN LIEBERMAN Elayne Nancy Freed, daugh- ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Freed, of Santa Barbara Dr., and Alvin Stanford Lieberman, son of Mr. Harry Lieberman, of Prairie Ave., and the late Mrs. Lieber- man, were united in marriage in a ceremony March 4, at Adas Shalom Synagogue.' Rabbi Jacob E. Segal officiated. The bride wore an ice-blue gown, highlighted by an open neckline of crushed taffeta adorned with hand-run Alen- con lace. Motifs of seed pearls and sequin trim on lace were molded over the bodice. Her full gathered skirt of tulle fell over the taffeta underskirt. Mrs. Sol Rubin and Mrs. Lee Horwitz were matrons of honor, and bridesmaids were Linda Taylor, Joyce Freed, Beverly Feldman, Phyllis Dictor and Sharon Stoneman. Leonard Galper was best man, and ushers included Ben Wish, Lee Horwitz, Allen Elson, Don- ald Kahn, Sanford Freed, Cullen Lieberman and Phillip Weis- berg. Mr. and Mrs. Lieberman are presently residing at 17214 Prairie - following their return from a wedding trip to Miami Beach and South America. "This year's Spring Fling is going to be better than ever," announced Nan Scholnick, Stu- dent Council president. Music will be provided by Hal Gor- don, who plays on the Soupy Sales Show and Ed Mackenzie's Saturday Party. The dance on April 21 at Lovett Hall is being presented by the social committee of the Student Council under the chairmanship of Stuart Handler. Tickets will go on sale April 9. The panel under the direction of Melvin Weisz includes Peter Quint, Judy Caplan, Fred Pass and Marilyn Tannenbaum. The local squad, made up of members of the Wagners and Alpacas from the Jewish Cen- ter's Class A league, beat Youngstown, 45-32 and Toledo, 55-54, to qualify for the title game. Back at home, members who joined in team play in Akron, joined their respective teams as Wagners beat Alpacas, 46- 40, for the Class A champion- ship. First-place Trojans of the Class B league still hold the lead in their playoffs after whipping Del Monicos, 33-31 and Zussman AZA, 39-29. Sec- ond place Nationals, with losses to Zussman and Del Monicos, are now eliminated. A chain- pion will be declared on April 8. Playoff games in Class C will continue through mid-April, with Aces, Imperials, Flashes and Dukes in contention.. High The Student Council pre- sented its semi-annual Freshie orientation program in the audi- torium last Wednesday. The program held in conjuction with the Parent-Faculty Tea, was presented in order to acquaint 10-B's with the school's various extra-curricular activties and clubs. Among the organizations represented were the Student Council, Science Club and "C" Club. 'Lites taking part in the pro- gram were Jackie Hallum, Mike Kahan, Norman Young, Faye Mathis, Ina Sage, Estelle Ring, Joanne Shook, Joe Dennis, Bev- erly Gray, Vanita Maradin, Reva Bratt, Judy Dzodin, Helen Lusky, Eleanor BankS, Oscar Glieberman, Faye Overback and Marilyn Ott.
