Detroit Jewish News —

Friday, Mardi 9, 1956

the continuing programs of our local, national and
overseas agencies, including the United Jewish
Appeal.

The results of the 1956 fund-raising effort
of our Allied Jewish Campaign for the normal
needs of all our beneficiaries—and for the urgently
needed Special Fund above that level—are bound
to have the most fateful consequences for the
future of Jews beyond our shores, especially in
North Africa and in Israel. In 1956, just giving is
not enough. You must give enough for the on-going
needs, and then more to the Special Israel Emer-
gency Fund. You must help Israel in an hour of
great crisis.

This Special Emergency Fund is our way
YOUR way—of standing by Israel and the Jews
of North Africa in this emergency.

There is one clear solution:

•

Israel's people must pay the cost of
rearmament.

•

Jews of North Africa must be
helped to get out.

•

We must pay the entire cost of
emigration!

In this hour of need, our action
must be bold our giving must be
generous.
