wanted to- form a social club
with a purpose and did just
that . .. The mother of one of
the girls being active in Hadas-,
sah, they asked the parent group
to sponsor them and are going
all-out in efforts to prove "we're
not just a bunch of irresponsible
kids." . • . Hadassah's program
of health and healing was ex-
plained to them and they im-
mediately offered to fill eye
banks with 'dimes . . . the pro-
ceeds of which are used to com-
bat trachoma, a dreaded eye
disease prevalent among refu-
gees entering Israel from nearby
Oriental countries. . • But the
young lassies aren't stopping
here . . . They've decided to
raise further money by holding
a fashion show, March 18, at
Hadassah House . . . and despite
their youth and inexperience,
have planned and executed
every detail by themselves . .
The show starts at 2 p. m., de-
picting past, present and future
fashions . . . Authentic gowns
i•h possession of a well-known
Detroit family for the past 75
years plus costumes from the
Hadassah Fashion Institute in
Israel have been secured by the
group ... Current fashions de-
signed especially for teen-agers
will be shown . Sheila Maiz-
