Rubiner Given Butzel Award; Judge
Levin Outlines Community Services

The 1956 Butzel Memorial
Award was presented Tuesday
evening, at the annual meeting
of the Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion, to Samuel H. Rubiner,
former president of the Federa-
tion.
Mr. Rubiner was the unani-
mous choice of the board of
judges, composed of presidents
of all Detroit agencies affiliated
with Federation.
Justice Henry M. Butzel,
brother of the late Fred W.
Butzel, in whose memory - the
award was established, made
the presentation to Mr. Rubiner.
Judge Theodore Levin pre-
sided at the annual Federation
meeting.
The award to Mr. Rubiner
pays him the following honors:
"The Jewish Welfare Federa-
tion of Detroit hereby designates

the 1956 Fred M. Butzel kfem-

Schools and is now a member
of its board of directors. As a
