Cantors' Concert

The annual concert of the
Cantors' Association of Detroit,

Synagogue, directed by Harry
Siegel.
Rabbi Jacob Chinitz, spiritual

deliver the memorial address.

Midrasha to Begin Second Term on Sunday
The second semester of the
Midrasha, College of Jewish
Studies sponsored by the United
Hebrew Schools, wiles open with
classes from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
Sunday. Courses also are taught
from 7:15 to 10 p.m., Mondays
and Wednesdays.
Classes given in Hebrew in-
clude medieval and modern
literature, Bible (from the orig-
inal with commentaries), his-
tory, Talmud, grammar and
composition. A course in mod-
ern Jewish thought also will
be offered.
In addition to regular classes,
courses in Israeli and folk danc-
ing will be given at 9 p.m.,
Mondays, and a course in Jew-
ish art and music will be taught
at 9 p.m., Wednesday.
The Jerusalem test for He-
brew prOficiency will be given
on April 25. Those interested
in taking - or preparing for it

To Fete Grand Opening
The school board of the
United Jewish Folk Schools an-
nounces the grand opening of
their school at 8:30 p. m., Sat-
urday at the' new Labor Zionist
Institute, 19161 Schaefer.
Members, parents and friends
of the school are invited to at-
tend the evening's program,
which will feature participation
by leaders of the community
and school children. Refresh-
ments will be served.
The nursery has almost
reached its quota, and, with the
exception of a few additional
children, any new registrations
will be placed on a Waiting list.
Registration for other classes is
now open and a Bar Mitzvah
class is also offered.
School is open Monday
through Friday. Transportation
is provided for children who
