Hirschmann to Speak
At JNF Women's
Donor Wednesday

Step Brothers Spark Annual Event

at the annual
donor event of
the Ladies'
'Auxiliary • of
the •Jewish Na-
tional Fund, at
Temple Israel,
Wednesday,
Jan. 25, 12:30

Highlighted by the appear-
ance of professional talent, the
Infants Service Group will pre-
sent its annual Dinner-Dance
and Show on Sunday evening,
at Masonic Temple.
Participating in the show, be-
sides ISG's own members, will
be the Four Step Brothers,
noted dance quartet; comedian
Mickey Deem s, the musical
Wades and Jackie Beutel and
Christopher and Dor'othy Smith.
Directing the show, as in pre-
vious years, is Mrs. David Rise-
man. Choreography-,_ is being
handled by Bill Richards, and
Russ Weaver and his orchestra
will be fea-
tured.

Mr. Hirsch-
mann, •who
Hirschmann majored in
economics at
Johns Hopkins Univerity, also
studied at the Peabody Insti-
tute of • Music. For a number
of years prominent in the ad-
vertising departments of lead-
ing New York department
stores, he is now devoting him-
self to radio projects.
He served • on the Board of
Higher Education of New York
City, was chairman of the
board of the University in Ex-
ile, end held a number of im-
portant Government posts.
As Special Attache of the
U. S. Embassy at Ankara and
as special representative of the
War Refugee Board set up by
President Roosevelt in 1944, he
helped bring thousands of ref-
ugees out of the Balkans.
Mrs. Jules Kraft, chairman of
the program committee for the
annual donor event, has ar-
ranged a musical program fea-
turing Julius Chajes, pianist
and composer,
and Marguerite
Kozenn, solo-
: ist. -

actively assist-
ing in prepara-
tions for the
donor event
,program, stat-
ed that they
event will
mark the 25th
anniversary of
donor projects Mrs. Kraft
by the JNF Ladies' Auxiliary,
and that on the occasion of this
important anniversary, a silver
tea and reception will precede
the program. '

ery for Visually Handicapped
Children.
Other funds, according to
Mrs. Jack Hencken, president,
have gone with consistency to
Cerebral Palsy, Detroit Ortho-
pedic Clinic and numerous other
charities.
Heading this year's activity

Edwin Roth, co-chairmen, who
are assisted by the following:
