• • Women Mobilize for Bond Day Bond Women volunteer workers met recently to plan Detroit's intensive one-day effort in support of the State of Israel Develop- ment Bond Issue, to be held Sunday. Mrs. Morris Adler is women's Grand Marshal of the one-day campaign. Designated as National Action Day for Israel, Dec. 11 will be highlighted by visits to the homes of Jewish families through- out Detroit. The women who attended the Nov. 29 meeting will be the spearhead of the largest corps of women bond workers in this community's history, who -will help in carrying out the one-day emergency Israel Bond subscription program. Mrs. Adler emphasized that the tempo of Israel Bond sales must be stepped up if Israel is to be provided with the sinews of development with which to survive as an independent, self- sustaining nation. Mrs. Adler indicated her confidence that National Action Day for Israel will produce a record. one-day sale of Israel Bonds, and added: "I know that oar National Action Day for Israel will mark a_ significant step forward in our sale of Israel Bonds. More than 750,000 persons have already purchased some $200,- 000,000 in Israel Bonds. We must see to it that we do our share to increase this total substantially during the one-day campaign."
