the staff of the Union of Ameri-
can Hebrew Congregations. He
will undertake three assignments
on the Pacific Coast. He , will
serve as director of the Union's
Camp for Living Judaism, in

regions for . the congregational
union, one in Northern Cali-
fornia and the other in the North-
west Pacific.

Winnipeg writer, MISS ADELLE
WAISMAN, has been accepted
by a -U.S. publishing firm. A
chapter from the novel was read
on the Canadian Broadcasting
Corporation's "Antholcigy" pro-
gram by Mrs. Margaret Stobie,
Miss Waisman's former. teacher
at the University of Manitoba.

Beth Abraham Men
Organize Youth Groups

Under sponsorship of its Men's
Club, Cong. Beth Abraham has
organized a Boys' Club as the
initial project of a concentrated
youth program in its new syna-
gogue, W. 7 Mile and Greenlawn.
The Boys' Club has been en-
tered officially in the Inter-
Congregational Basketball League
and has started practice sessions
under the supervision of Lou
Siporin, sports director, and
George Finkelstein, coach. In the
near future, a bowling league
will 'be organized.
Meanwhile, the group meets at
9 a.m., each Sunday, as the Tef-
filin Club, for religious services
and breakfast, in the synagogue
center.
Sabbath services will soon be-
gin for a regularly-functioning
Junior Congregation. Informa-
