Dr. Eisendrath to Speak
At Reform Parley;
Plan Workshop Sessions

Dr. Maurice N. Eisendrath,
president of the 'Union of Amer-
'ean Hebrew Congregations, will
be guest preacher at 8:30 p.m.
services today, at Temple Israel,
which opens the biennial con-
vention of the Great Lakes Re-
gion of UAHC.
Delegates from Reform con-
gregations in Illinois, Michigan,
Minnesota and Wisconsin will
participate in these services arid
in 11:15 a.m. services, Saturday,
at Temple Beth El, when Rabbi
Harry Essrig, newly - appointed
executive director of the Region,
will speak.
Other convention activities in-
clude round table workshops at
the Park Shelton Hotel and the
convention banquet at the Sher-
aton Cadillac Hotel, on Satur-
day. Rabbi George B. Lieber-
man, of Rockville' Center, N. Y.,
will be banquet speaker.
Sunday sessions will continue
at the Park Shelton, with other
workshops and a luncheon.
Tempies Beth El, Emanu-El and
Israel are hosting convention
delegates. Leon S. Wayburn, of
Beth El, is general cahirman of
the convention.
Participating in today's service
will be Dr. Leon Fram and Rabbi
M. Robert Syme, of the host con-
gregation; Dr. Richard C. Hertz
and Rabbi Minayd Klein, of Tem-
ple Beth El; and Dr. Frank F.
Rosenthal, of Cong. Emanu-El.
The two Temple Israel choirs,
under the directioh of Karl Haas,
will sing. They will be massed to
render Handel's "Hallelujah" and
"What Doth the Lord Require"
. by Haas. The Bar Mitzvah of
Richard David Baron will be ob-
served.
Dr. Hertz and Rabbi Klein will
conduct the Saturday morning
services at Temple Beth El.

table sessions will be Charles
Goldstein and Aaron Kishner, of
Temple Israel; Lebn S. Wayburn,
Benjamin Wilk, Stanley J. Win-
kelman, Bernard Isenberg and
