Sol Boesky to Build
Drive-in Restaurants

Plans for the immediate con-
struction of a chain of local
drive-in restaurants, operating
under Boesky Food Systems, Inc.,
has been announced by Morgan
Barstow of the commercial divi-
sion of Elsea Realty and Invest-
ment Co., appointed exclusive
representative to secure loca-
tions and handle details of the
new enterprise.
The chain is being organized
by Sol Boesky and his son, Bob.
Sol Boesky started in the res-
taurant business 35 years ago
When he joined his four brothers
in their first restaurant at Farns-
worth and Hastings.
During the depression, they
opened their now famous res-
taurant at 12th and Hazelwood.
Later, Sol Boesky - developed
Sid's Cafe, which he still owns
with his son.
Construction of the first build-
ing will begin in a few weeks,
under the supervision of Bob
Boesky, secretary - treasurer of
the firm. His father, who will
manage the operation, is presi-
dent.
Following the construction of
several units, plans call for ex-
pansion • nationally. Headquar-
ters will, however, remain in
Detroit.
