With this upset Mumford regained the chance of becoming West Side Champions. Speaking of sports, in the re- serve football game held at school Thursday with Redford's reserve squad, the Mustangs walked away with a 20-7 score. Mumford's new swimming pool was the setting for the Western-Mumford swim- ming match. The final points showed a 55-32 score in West- ern's favor. The girls' field hockey team won both their reserve and var- sity games Thursday at school by 2-1 and 1-0 scores. , Congratulations to Mumford senior, Shel Salinger who won honorable mention in the Ford Industrial Arts Contest. The prize was $20 cash for his model railroad house. Congratulations are also in order for Barbara Pines, who has been chosen class speaker for the January com- mencement exercises. The organization urged the United States to take the initia- tive to secure the integrity of ex- isting demarcation lines between Israel and the Arab States and warned that "only an immediate guarantee by the United States of the territorial status quo can lead to an abatement of tensions in the area." • It also recommended that the Western Powers invoke the spirit of Geneva and call upon the So- viet Union' to prevent an arms race.
