stalled new officers at a luncheon
Oct. 19. Outgoing officers were
presented with gifts.
New officers include Bessie

zov, vice-president; Irene Ber-
man, treasurer; Rae Kandler,
secretary.

Morton Wandruff were .united in
marriage at a ceremony Sept. 4,
at Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
The bride's gown was of white
chantilly lace, styled with a high
neckline outlined in pearls. An
embroidered motif of the pearls
detailed t h e fitted bodice. A
matching crown held in place
her .veil of illusion, and she car-
ried a bouquet of orchids and
lilies of the valley on a Bible.
The bride, the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Blau, of Glendale
`Ave., was attended by her twin
sister, Eleanor, as maid of honor.
Mrs. Sonia Slovensky, of Chicago,
Ill., the bridegroom's sister, was
matron of honor. Bridesmaids
were Lenora Schreier, Joan Dean,
Pearl Konek, Phyllis Clark and
Joan Horwood. '
The bridegroom is the son of
Mrs. Ethel Wandruff, of Rose-
lawn Ave. Edward Eichelbaum
was his best man, while ushers
included Stuart Eichelbaum, Rob
ert Wandruff, Arnold Samoroff,
Marshall_Cortney, Allen Schreier
and Larry Blau.
Cantor P a v e l Slovensky, of
Chicago, the bridegroom's broth:-
er-in-law, participated in the
ceremony. Roger Blau was junior
usher, Lebya Slovensky was the
flower girl and Joel Slovensky
was ring bearer.
Following the wedding, the
couple left for a wedding trip to
Miami Beach, Fla. They will take
up residence in the Tyler Manor
Apartments.

BBYO Schedules
Leaders Seminar

Stressing training for leader-
ship in Bnai Brith and the coin,-
munity is the two-fold purpose
of a leadership training program
being. held today through Sunday,
by the Detroit Bnai Brith Youth
Organization, at Camp Tamarack.
Out of a roster of 1500 BBYO
members, 32 have been chosen to
attend, because of their aptitude
for accepting responsibilities and
their outstanding leadership .
Seminars and small discussion
groups led by adult personnel
will form the basis for the pro-
gram.
Dr. Bernard Ross, professor of
group work at Michigan State
University, Mrs. Jack Hartstein,
Greater Detroit Bnai Brith Wo-.
men's Council BBYO chairman,
Paul Deutschberger, BBYO exec-
utive director, and Harry Mirvis,
assistant director, will lead the
seminars.
The guest faculty will include
Dr. ,Grant Bogue, senior sociol-
ogist with the Mayor's Commis-
sion on Children and Youth; Ma-
rylee Nicholson, assistant profes-
sor of group work at Wayne Uni-
versity; and Jess Farris, acting ,
director, Mayor's Committee on
Children and Youth.
Topics to be discussed include
"What do we know about prob-
lems of youth in general?", "How
can agencies meet the needs of
youth?", "How does BBYO fit
into the program?", "What is the
relationship between BBYO and
other agency committees?"
Installation of the BBYO Coun-
cil officers at a dinner Sunday
evening, with -Dr. Ross, the final
speaker, evaluating the week-
end's discussions, will complete,
the three-day training program. .
