Approval of B-G's Cabinet Awaits Recovery from Illness

JERUSALEM — (JTA) — Is-
rael's new four-party coalition
Cabinet was announced this week
by Premier-designate David Ben-
Gurion. Formal ceremonies to
install the Knesset leader and his
ministers were postponed tem-
porarily because of the illness of
Mr. Ben-Gurion.
A bulletin, signed by Profs.
M. Rachbilevitz and Lipmann
Halprin, two of the five attend-
in g physicians, • said that the
Premier-designate "had been

subject to an attack of vertigo''
and that the origin of the dis-
turbance was localized- in the
inner ear. The bulletin stressed
that Mr. Ben-Gurion needs com-
plete rest until he recovers.
Messages of sympathy were re-
ceived at Mr. Ben-Gurion's home
from leading figures in all parts
of the world, including one from
Secretary of State John Foster
Dulles, Which .said that the Sec-
retary was "deeply disturbed"
at Mr. Ben-Gurion's illness.

Meanwhile, the Knesset met to
hear reports on the discussions
between Premier Sharett, _ Fi-
nance Minister Levi Eshkol and
Eric Johnston, President Eisen-
hower's personal envoy, on the
Jordan River proposals.
The Knesset also heard a re- .
port on the latest developments
in the Egyptian-Czech arms deal,
but at the suggestion of Premier
Sharett, postponed a debate on
the subject of Communist-Egyp-
tian arms deals.
