Mr. and Mrs, Max Shiovitz, fornier pefroiterS,..now of 152.2 S.
Orange Grove, Los Angeles, Cal., will - observe their golden wedding
anniversary on Oct. 29. They were married in Detroit and were
residents of this city for 40 years. Their children are: Minnie, Mrs.
Jennie Barris, Mrs. Samuel J. Panetz, Mrs. Edward Zimmerman,
Philip, Harry and. Dr. Louis Shiovitz of Detroit; Mrs. Carl Levine
of Silver Spring, Maryland, Mrs. Newton Jackson of Los Angeles
and the late Nathan Shiovitz. There are 22 grandchildren. Before
hiS retirement, Mr. Shiovitz owned and operated the Avon Store
Fixture Co. on Gratiot Ave.
Mrs. Jos. Gold and the Joseph Shiffmans have as their house
guest Mrs. Milton Shiffman and her son, Gary. Dr. Milton Shiffman,
who is currently stationed in San Bernardino, Cal., will join his
family for Thanksgiving.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Eston are now residing in their new
home, at 19941 Marlowe.
Mr. and Mrs. Mano Weissberg, of 4101 Clements, who cele-
brated their 60th wedding anniversary at an intimate family party
this month, were married on Sept. 29, 1895. The Weissbergs, active
in several - communal movements, have three children. Mr. Max
White, Mrs. Dave Fischer and Mr. George White. They also have
six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Brody, of Muirland Ave., are guests at the
Waldorf Astoria, while in New York to attend the dinner on Sunday
for the Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Aronoff have returned to their home on
Warrington Dr., following a recent vacation in Beverly Hills, Calif.

At a double ring ceremony
solemnized at the Young Israel
Synagogue on Sept. 4, Beverly
Lubin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Meyer Lubin, of Edison Ave.,
became the bride of Milton Dunn,
son of Mir. and Mrs. Louis Dunn,
of Buena Vista Ave. Rabbi
Samuel Prero and Cantor Hyman
Adler officiated.
For her bridal attire, the new
Mrs. Dunn chose a white, cap-
sleeve, ballerina length, em-
broidered nylon gown with a
sweetheart neckline. The bodice
was sprinkled with pearls and
sequins. Her fmgertip veil was
of lace with a matching pearl
and sequins princess crown. She
carried white orchids on a Bible.
Attending the bride were Lee
Perliss, Laura Melder, Ida Rapa-
port and Mrs. Carolyn Schwartz.
Cheryl Ann Lubin, the bride's
sister, and Carol Ruth Lubin, the
bride's cousin, served as junior
bridesmaids. Gussie Feingold, the
bride's aunt, served as maid of
honor.
Seating the guests were Milton
Tilson, Ted King, Allen.
Schwartz, and Ralph Feingold,
the bride's uncle. Henry Glass
served as best man. Gary Lubin
and Martin Lubin, the bride's
brothers, were junior ushers.
After a dinner and reception,
the newlyweds left for a two-
week honeymoon in Miami
Beach, Fla. They are now resid-
ing on Boston 'Blvd.

Children's Show Time
Presented at Adas Shalom

For its annual fund raising
affair, the Adas Shalom Young
Married Couples Club is pre-
senting "Children's Show Time,"
featuring Wixie from Wixie
Wonderland and Harold Ramm
and his marionettes.
Show time is 2:30 p.m., Nov.
13 in the Adas Shalom social
hall. Tickets are available by

2968, or by contacting the syna-

A Hallowe'en party at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Al Gold-
stein will be given Oct. 29 for
all paid-up members. The group

Marriages

ROSENBAUM-CLAYMAN. Rab-
bi Morris Adler officiated at the
double ring ceremony on Sept.
27, which united in marriage
Roslyn Clayman, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harry S. Clayman,
and Ben Rosenbaum, son of the
late Mr. and. Mrs. Philip Rosen-
baum. The rites were performed
at Holiday Manor.
The bride wore a cocktail-
length gown of -imported lace
and candlelight satin, and car-
ried a cascading bouquet of
white orchids on a white Bible.
Mrs. Jack Green, the bride's
sister, was _matron of honor, and
Randy Sue Green was her aunt's
flower girl; Frank Rosebaum was
his brother's best man.
Following a honeymoon in the
Western United States, the
couple will make their home in
Los Angeles, Calif.

L. Zucker, executive director of
the Cleveland Jewish Federation;
has been elected a vice chairman
of the Great Lakes Institute of
Community. Chests and Councils
of America.

Schaver to Sing

In Three Communities

Emma Schaver, noted Detroit
soprano whose recording "From
the Heart of a People" is earning
nationwide acclaim, will make a
number of guest appearances
within the coming month.
Mrs. Schaver will sing in St.
Louis this Sunday at a program
sponsored by that city's Histadrut
organization. She also will ap-
pear in St. Louis on Wednesday
Mr the Israel Bond drive.
On Nov. 13, Mrs. Schaver will
go to Chicago to appear at a func-
tion of the United Jewish Appeal
at the Hotel Morrison. Her
schedule will conclude Nov. 17
at the Israel Bonds Concert, in
Washington, D. C.
Premier Moshe Sharett of Is-
rael will be guest speaker at the
Bond functions in St. Louis.

MISS ARLENE GROCOFF
Mr. and Mrs. G. Grocoff, of
Tuller Ave., announce the en-
gagement of their daughter, Ar-
lene, to Marvin J. Tenenbaum,
of Toronto, Ont., son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. J. Tenenbaum. A
March 17 wedding in Detroit is
being planned.
