`Portrait of a Matt'
Tribute to Isaas

Ham'ines-Haas Rites
Scheduled for Jan. 1

A specially prepared program,
"Portrait of a Man," was recent-
ly presented by the Women's
Auxiliary of the United Hebrew
Schools as a tribute to Bernard
Isaacs, who recently retired as
superintendent of the Schools.

The program covered the 35
years of Mr. Isaac's leadership in
communal school work since the
day he arrived in Detroit. He
was praised for his accomplish-
ments for laying the ground-
work for the excellent school
system which exists in our com-
munity today.
