I n Detroit This Week
Barnett Janner, British Jewry's
most distinguished leader, now
visiting in this country, in connec-
tion with the Jewish materiel
claims against Germany, will be
a guest in Detroit this week.
Judge and Mrs. Theodore Levin
will be his hosts.
The Hon. Mr. Janner, an emi-

ly to assure a just solution of
Jewish problems and fought
against interference from British
antagonists to the Zionist ideal.
Born June 20, 1892, he was
educated in Cardiff College and
the University of Wales. He was
elected a member of Parliament
for Whitechapel and St. George's,
1931-35, and West Leicester,

of the British Legion and is a
leader in the Association of Jew-
ish Ex-Servicemen, serves on the
praesidium of the Conference on
Material Jewish Claims Against
Germany and is a director of a
score of important movements.
