Courses for '55-'56 to Start on Oct. 3

and a series of seminars are
scheduled by the Women's Divi-
sion of the Jewish Welfare Fed-
eration, under the leadership of
Mesdames Irving Posner and
Nathan Kaplan,

beloff, will pro-
vide a thorough
grounding in

its agencies and
will serve as
pre-requisite to
the seminars.

man is Mrs. Charles Lakoff. Tho
leadership training course, which
had an enrollment of 50 women
last year, will begin Monday, with
ail sessions from 10 a.m. to .12
noon. Isidore Sobeloff, executive
director of Federation, will ad-
dress the initial meeting.
On Oct. 10 and 17, the group
will hear William Avrunin, Fed-
eration's associate director. The
first three meetings will be held
in the Esther Berman Branch of
the United Hebrew Schools.
On Oct. 24, the course will of-
fer a bus trip with stops at Fed-
eration-supported services. Be-

Schools, the group will tour the
Jewish Home for Aged and Sinai
Hospital and will cover the pro-
posed new Jewish Community
Center locations.
The course will culminate with
a meeting on Oct. 31 at the Fred
M. Butzel Memorial Building,
163 Madison.
The remaining education sub-
division education extension, is
led by Mrs. Sidney J. Karbel.
This project will take the form
of "Communi-Teas", planned for
many of the new neighborhoods
where mothers, who have small
children, find it difficult to go to.

9:30 a.m., Oct. 11, in the D. W.
Simons Bldg., 4000 Tuxedo, and
will meet regularly thereafter
each Tuesday and Thursday
morning.

methods of alterations and use
