The Flood Relief fund of the
American Red Cross is $10.30
richer because 13 youngsters de-
cided that this was a worthy
enough cause to receive the pro-
ceeds from their neighborhood
show.
Ranging in age from 19 months
to 11 years, the girls, all resi-
dents of the 18200-18315 block on
Mark Twain Ave., arranged and
presented the musical show with-
out parental assistance or super-
vision. The "Flood Releaf" dona-
tion was both their idea and
their spelling.
Names of the participants are:

LONDON (JTA)—Twelve per-
cent of all people who replied to
a poll of readers of the Daily
Herald, the Labor Party news-
paper in this country, are preju-
diced against Jews, the news-
paper disclosed. The poll was
undertaken after the news broke
b• of a college in Cambridge con-
sidering whether to accept or
reject a bequest tied to anti-
Semitic and anti-Negro condi-
tions.
The poll also found that more
than half-52 per cent—of the
readers liked all Jews. Replying
to another query, more than half
of the Daily Herald's readers said
that they would approve of their
children marrying Jews.

David Horowitz, president of
the bank, announcing the new
issue, made it clear that "there
is no fiscal or financial or mone-
tary change in the introduction
of the new banknotes and we
are not withdrawing or annulling
the old banknotes, nor are we
increasing the volume of cur-
rency in circulation."
The new banknotes, he ex-
plained, will be put into circula-
tion gradually replacing old, out-
worn and soiled notes which will
be retired from circulation.
The new currency was printed
by the famous London firm of
Thomas de Larue. A different
Israel scene appears on each de-
nomination of the new issue.
