of Cleveland Heights, 0., former-
ly of Detroit, announce the en-
gagement of their daughter, Edith
Naomi, to Alan A. Abrams, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Max Abrams,
also of Cleveland Heights. Mr.
Abrams is a senior in the Uni-
versity of Toledo college of phar-
macy, and is president of Alpha
Zeta Omega fraternity and secre-
tary-treasurer of Rho Chi, na-
tional pharmaceutical honor so-
ciety.

Bordelove, son of Mr. p.nd Mrs.
William ,Bordelove, of Elmhurst
Ave.
The bride's gown was of tiered,

white, embroidered organdy, and
her veil was attached to a crown
of pearls. She carried white or-
chids, split carnations and trail-
ing ivy.
Mrs. Alice Bauer was matron
of honor, and bridesmaids were
Annette Gladstone, Madeline
Cooper, Lenore Berman and Mrs.
Louise Bordelove. Loura Rubin
and Linda Frank were junior
bridesmaids, and flower girls
were Carol Rubin and Linda
Rubin.
Manny Bordelove was best
man, and Sheldon Bordelove was
junior best man. Ushers included
Max Rubin, Benson Rubin, Aaron
Berman and Gerald Harris.
Also in the ceremony were the
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
David Silverman, of Miami
Beach, Fla., and Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Gittelman.
The couple honeymooned at
Grossinger's and traveled through
New York State.

Vivian Friedman, daughter of
Mrs. A. Shor, of Hubbell Ave.,
and the late Mr. Samuel Fried-
man, spoke her nuptial vows to
Lt. David B. Gildenberg, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gilden
berg, of Hazleton, Pa., in a cere-
mony Sept. 4, at Cong. Bnai
David. Rabbi Hayim Donin and
Cantor Hyman Adler officiated.
The bride wore an all-over
Chantilly lace gown, highlighted
by a fitted bodice, Queen Ann
collar and neckline of long tra-
ditional lace. The long sleeves
came to points over her wrists.
The very bouffant skirt ex-
tended into a chapel train. Her
fingertip veil fell from a Swe-
dish crown of pearls, and she
carried white orchids atop a
white prayer book.
Mrs. Harry Migdal, the bride's
sister, was matron of honor, and
bridesmaids were Alissa Fried-
man, the bride's cousin from Chi-
cago, Mrs. Herbert EpStein and
Sallie Ginsburg. Caryn Friedman
was flower girl.
Philip L. Gildenberg, the bride-
groom's brother, was • his best
man, and ushers were Harry Mig-
dal, Paul Burlak and Frank
Burlak. Steven Migdal, the
bride's nephew, was ring bearer.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her brother, Arthur
Friedman, who accompanied Mrs.
Shor down the aisle.
Following a wedding trip to
the Concord Hotel and New York
State, the couple will take up
residence in Oak Park, Mich.

Neugarten Aid to Hear
Talk on Retarded Child

Mrs. Muriel Arndt, a teacher
in the Nursery School for Re-
tarded Children, will speak at
the meeting of Neugarten Medi-
cal Aid, at the home of Mrs. Hy-
man Freedland, 19903 Shrews-
bury, Monday. A dessert lunch-
eon will be served at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Arndt's subject will be
"Progress for Social Adjustment
of the Mentally Retarded Child."
Plans will be made for a tea
and open house of the nursery
at Tau Beta Community House,
at 3056 Hanley, _Hamtramck.

Medal Honors Rabinowitz
The first medal ever struck by
the Jewish Theological Seminary
of American was presented Sun-
day evening to Louis M. Rabin-
owitz, industrialist and philan-
thropist, for his "consistent and
noble support of scholars and
scholarship." Presentation w a s
made in connection with the con-
ference of the national planning
committee.

Dr. and Mrs. E. W. Harelik,
of Webb Ave., announce the

Norma Jean, to Dr. Arthur

Miss Harelik is a graduate of
the University of Michigan
where she received her degree
in elementary education. She
also earned a masters degree in
humanities from Wayne_ Uni-
versity, and presently is teach-

System.
Dr. Shufro received his BS
and MD degrees from the Uni-
versity of Michigan, and pres
ently is completing his residency
in radiology at University Hos-
pital, Ann Arbor.
