proceeds of the concert, the only
ZOD fund raising event of the

For Israel Training Seminar
NEW YORK, (JTA)—Twenty-
five undergraduate students of
five leading American Hebrew
teacher colleges left for. Israel
for a six-month training seminar
sponsored by the Jewish Agency.
The group sailed abroad the liner

igation Company. The students-
13 men and 12 women . . . have
completed their junior year and
were selected by their respective
colleges, on the basis of academic
records, to participate in the
seminar.

gather at Knollwood Country
Club at 10 a.m. From then, to
5:30 p.m., they will take advan-
tage of golf, swimming and cards,
to be followed by cocktails and
dinner.
The' evening program will fea-
ture the comedian, Joey Adams.
There will also be the presenta-
tion of the trophy to the out-
standing division in the 1955
Allied Jewish Campaign. In ad-
dition to the division trophy, the
chairman of the winning division
is presented with an appropriate-
ly-inscribed individual trophy.

ORT Union Central Board. He

delegates from
27 countries at
'the recently
concluded World
Congress of ORT
organizations at
Geneva. The
Central Board is Dr. Wm. Haber
the governing body of ORT be-
tween congresses.
Dr. Haber, a professor of eco-
nomics at the University of Mich-
igan, was for many years chair-
man of the Federal Advisory
Council of Employment Security
and special consultant to the Sec-
retary of Labor. Last June, he
received the United Jewish Ap-
peal's Humanitarian Award for
aiding Jewish survivors of Hit-
lerism during his tour of duty as
Special Advisor on Jewish Af-
fairs to General Clay in Germany
in 1948.
