Bnai Brith Council to Hold4 ,Eleventh
Annual Seminar-Workshop Sept. 11

The Greater Detroit Bnai
Brith Council will hold its 11th
annual Seminar-Workshops, Sun-
day, Sept. 11, at Fort Shelby
Hotel. The 400 Council and Lodge
officers and committee chairmen
will form intensive instruction
and discussion groups in all
phases of Bnai Brith activity.
The day's pro -
gram will begin
with registration
at -8:15, break-
fast at 9 and a
general session
at 10.

Those attending will receive an
intensive indoctrination in leader-
ship, program planning and Bnai
Brith knowledge.
Among the out-of-town Bnai
Brith leaders who will act as con-
sultants and resource persons for
these meetings are:

Mrs. Irma Bogdanoff, Washington,
D.C., director of Bnai Brith Section of
the Martyrs' Forest; Albert Elkes,
Washington, assistant national director
of the membership department; Dr.
Herman Jacobs, of Ann- Arbor, direc-
tor of the Michigan Bnai Brith Hillel
Foundation; Rabbi Philip Frankel,
Lansing, director of Michigan State
Hillel Foundation.

Bnai Brith Starts
22nd Local Lodge

A new Bnai Brith - lodge has
been formed in the Seven Mile-
Evergreen area, it was announc-
ed this week by Leo Polk, mem-
bership chairman of the Greater
DetrOit Bnai Brith Council.
The new affiliate group brings
to 22 the number of men's lodges
in Detroit. Their combined mem-
bership totals over 7,500 mem-
bers.
Polk said that the formation
of the lodge, which has had two
organizational meetings to -date,
will greatly add to the local
membership of Bnai Brith.
_ All men joining the new lodge
will become charter members,
Polk added, Bnai Brith seeks to
increase and perpetuate civic,
communal and Jewish activities
in the area.
