Detroit Dentist to Wed
In Tulsa This Sunday

Dr. and Mrs. Melvin Platt and daughters, Bonita and Claudia,
of Oak Park, have returned home after a six weeks stay in Florida
during which they visited with Mrs. Platt's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Louis Katz, former Detroiters now residing in Miami Beach.

Mr.' and Mrs. Sam Klein and daughter Marilyn, formerly of
Monterey Ave., have moved to their new residence, at 17534 Stoepel.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit Lynn and Harry
Gurwin, children of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Gurwin, of 18494 Wood-
ingham, who will return Wednesday from Camp Michigama.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Halperin, of the Wilshire Hotel, have re-
turned from a week's visit in New York City.
Mr. and Mrs. Lou Luckoff, of Renfrew Road, and Dr. and Mrs.
Samuel Coggan, of Oak Drive, left for the west coast on a vacation
trip. They will be guests in Beverly Hills, Calif., and from there
will go on to San Francisco and then stop at Las Vegas 'over the
Labor Day weekend.
Joseph Korman, of Glendale Ave., is vacationing in Miami
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Brand, of Wildemere Ave., are vacationing
in the Catskills.
Mrs. Sadie Lankin, and daughter, Adrienne, of Stoepel Ave.,
are vacationing in Miami Beach.
Mrs. Renee Rochelle and son, Harry Edward, of Santa Rosa
Dr., and Mrs. Louis Sofferin, Max Rhinestone, and Kalman Morris,
are vacationing at Oakton Manor, Wisconsin.
Gordon Beswick, of Oakman Blvd., is vacationing in Miami
Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bordelove (Barbara Rubin) are honey-
mooning at Grossinger's, Ferndale, N. Y.

the occasion of their 30th wedding anniversary. The reception was

Mr. and Mrs.Nathan Rosin, of 12756 Monica, who are leaving
On Monday for an extended visit in Israel, are being entertained by
several members of their family, prior to their departure.
Miss Marilyn Joyce Lifton and Miss Dorothy Julia Levine
returned from a two week vacation in Charlevoix, Mackinac City
and Mackinac Island.
Mr. .and Mrs. Isadore Schwartz of Northfield Blvd., Oak Park,
were entertained on their 40th wedding anniversary at the Elm-
wood Casino by their children, Mr. and Mrs. Irven Leider, Mr. and
— Mrs. Harry Granader and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tractenberg. Rep-
resenting the grandchildren were Eleanor and Donald Tractenberg.
Mrs. Dora Dworkin, of Waverly Ave., now visiting in Israel,
has been appointed a delegate to the World Hebrew Congress in
Jerusalem. She and Mrs.. Bertha Goldstein, national president of the
Pioneer Women's Organization from New York, are representatives
of the Moatzot Hapoalot. Mrs. Dworkin's son, Morris, is now on his
way back to the United States,. after spending , a year in Israel. He
will arrive on Aug. 30, and will visit his sister and brother-in-law.
Rabbi and Mrs. Julius Weinberg, of Ann Arbor, Mich. Mrs. Dworkin
will return by plane on Sept. 9.
Miss Carolyn Kerner has returned from Cambridge, Mass.,
where she spent the summer 'attending Harvard University.
Mr. Jerry.. Greenbaum, of 2075 Oakman Blvd., has returned
home after -spending two months in Edrope. He will spend the next
three weeks at the summer home of his parents, at Lexingtori, Mich.
The 50th wedding anniversary of Mr: and Mrs. Abraham Lip-
sitz, of 1975 Tuxedo, will be celebrated with a dinner on -Sunday,
at Zack's Catering. Honoring their parents' golden wedding will
be the Morris Golden, Aaron Lanes and Fred' Rices,, in addition
to the Lipsitz' grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Golden, Miss
Marilyn Golden, Robert and Susan Lane and Donna, Susan, Karen
and Thoinas Rice; and their great-granddaughter, Frances -Helen
Golden.

Plans for a benefit affair, sched-
uled for Sept. 30, will be dis-
cussed.
On Wednesday afternoon, 60
youngsters active in the Circle's
Youth Bowling League and
Drama Club will meet at 12 noon,
at the Center, 11529 Linwood,
before leaving for. Briggs Stadi-
um to watch the Detroit Tigers
play the Washington Senators.
