In honor of their son Steven Jay's Bar Mitzvah, on Aug. 13, Mr.
and Mrs. Louis L. Liebers will entertain numerous out of town
guests, including Dr. Jack Liebers of California; Mr. and Mrs. Ber-
tram Blatt, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Blatt, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Liebers,
of New York; Miss Beverly Barson and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Barson
of Chicago. The week following the Bar Mitzvah, Mrs. Libbers
will entertain for her sister, Mrs. Daniel Meyers (Shirley Levy) of
California, and her sister-in-law, Mrs. Sol Levy of Illinois.
Sylvia Lehrman, of 20019 Lichfield Rd., who vacationed during
July with he4 sister, Charlotte Atkins, in Monterey, Cal., will visit
with friends in San Francisco, Los Angeles and in Arizona before
returning to Detroit.
Bernard Karasick is spending his vacation at Grossinger's.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Sike,. of Dexter Blvd., have as their guests
their daughter and grandchildren, Mrs. Sam Roska (Teddy Sike)
and Laurel Beth and Martin Allan, of Long Beach, Calif.
Marlene Engel was honored at a surprise 17th birthday party
given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Engel.
Recent guests of Lt. (j.g.) and Mrs. Norman R. Atkins, of 270
Mar Vista Dr., Monterey, Calif., were Mrs. Atkin's sister, Miss
Sylvia Lehrman, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stutz, daughter, Sharon, and
sons, Jerry and Sidney, Mrs. Louis Stutz and Mr. and Mrs. Mickey
Feldman. Lt. and Mrs. Atkins, both Detroiters, are residing in
California where Lt. Atkins is legal officer at the U.S. - Naval Post-
graduate School at Monterey. Before entering military service,
Lt. Atkins graduated from the Wayne University Law School, and
was affiliated with Tau Epsilon Rho fraternity. He is a member of
the Michigan State Bar Association, and is the on of Mrs. Sarah
Atkins, of 17574 Santa Rosa. Mrs. Atkins, the former Charlotte
Lehrman, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Lehrman, of
20019 Lichfield.

Counseling Department and the
Nutrition Research Laboratories
