Explosion Halts Drilling
Operations in Israel Oil

.

TEL AVIV, (JTA) — Drilling
apparatus used in the ,oil field
at Gan- Yavneh was badly dam-
aged, and power lines to the
field were disrupted, when na-
tural gas exploded at the works.
It was the second gas explosion
in a week. No one was injured.
The management overseeing
the drilling operations immedi-
ately ordered all work suspend-
ed pending a survey of the
operations and minute re-exam-
ination of all equipment and
methods.

Dr. W. A. Goldberg, owner-
director of Dr. Goldberg's Day
Camp, will open a nursery
school on Sept. 15, to be located
at 21110 Greenfield, opposite the
Northland shopping center.
The nursery is designated as a
division of the day camp, and
will include many of the latter's
activities. Lunch will be pre-
pared by the camp cook. Dr.
Goldberg will supervise the
school staff.
Boys and girls 2 1/2 through 5
will be accepted for half day
or full-day sessions. Indoor and
outside activities are planned,
and there will be adequate room
for both, Dr. Goldberg says. A
school station wagon will pro-
vide transportation, or parents
may bring and pick up their
youngsters.

Funny People, Americans
A Chinese visitor told Jack L.
Warner: 'Funny people, you
Americans. You take a glass,
add sugar to make it sweet and
lemon to make it sour. You use
gin to warm you up and ice
to keep you cool. You say, 'Here's
to you!' and then you drink it
yourself."
