Honor Israel Rabbi On Scholarly Mission Rabbis, presidents of local congregations and representa- tives of many organizations in the community were present last Saturday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Isidore Sosnick to honor Rabbi Isaac Weinstein, who is presently visiting here from Israel. -- Rabbi Weinstein is here to speak in behalf of Otzar Hapo- skim, collecting all laws and judgments amassed through the ages and arranging them in ac- cordance with and in order of the Shulchan Aruch. Otzar Haposkim, Rabbi Wein- stein explained. is not limited to practicing rabbis, but will serve as a guide as well for all rab- binic scholars desirous of. delv- ing into Talmudic -problems. • • The Otzar Haposkim will cover 60 volumes, and those present agreed to. raise enough' funds to cover printing and publishing one of the works.
