Miss Gertrude Bernstein, formerly of Detroit and now of Los
Angeles, Calif., has returned from a nine-week trip through Israel,
France, Italy, Switzerland and England. Since her return, she has
been *visiting with her family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bernstein. of
Cleveland Heights, O., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Fingerhut, of East
Cleveland, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Epstein, of Mt. Vernon, 0. Prior
to her return to Los Angeles, Miss Bernstein will stop in Detroit
to visit her relatives and friends.
Miss Linda Schwartz, president of Junior Hadassah, was hon-
ored with several parties prior to her departure for Israel where
she will attend a two-month summer institute on a partial schol-
arship.
Miss Harriet Cohen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cohen,
of 19388 Warrington, left by Pan-American Clipper for London,
England, on June 20. She will tour Holland, Germany ,Italy and
France for eight weeks, returning home about Aug. 10. Miss Cohen
graduated June 17 with high honors from the University of Wis-
consin.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis M. Elliman, of the Belcrest Hotel, are guests
at the Belden Stratford Hotel, in Chicago, while attending the
